Two-month-old Nguyen Ngoc Minh died on January 4, 15 hours after being injected with a hepatitis B vaccine at Ngoc Thuy Clinic in Ha Noi’s Long Bien District.
After the incident, the Long Bien Preventive Healthcare Centre investigated the injection process as well as the vaccine’s quality. However, no mistakes were discovered.
Criminal Studies Institute of the Public Security Ministry’s investigation shows that, Nguyen Ngoc Minh’s death was due to respiratory distress, not a hepatitis B vaccination.
Minh’s parents allowed forensic doctors to do an autopsy.
